Welcome to the Albany Creek State High School website

Albany Creek State High School is an Independent Public School located 15 kilometres north of Brisbane and has a current enrolment of 1280 students. Albany Creek State High School has an enrolment management plan which ensures students living within the school’s catchment area are able to enrol. Students outside of the catchment may be successful in gaining entry into one of the Excellence Programs; Football (soccer), Dance, Drama, Visual Art and Instrumental Music.

 

The school’s vision “Innovative Thinkers – Successful Learners – Connected Community,” provides the foundation for curriculum, teaching and learning and underpins the core values of Respect, Responsibility, Reliability and Resilience. The school maintains high expectations and standards of student performance across academia, sport, culture, leadership and citizenship conduct.

 

Albany Creek State High School has a reputation for providing a high quality learning experience for students from Years 7 to 12. The school offers a breadth of curriculum to cater for both tertiary and vocational pathways. Albany Creek State High School offers extension programs in English, Mathematics and Science to extend students wishing to enrich their learning from Year 8 onwards. Extension English students are given the opportunity to enrol and study at the University of Queensland whilst in Year 12 with their class.
