Future Projects

“The Promenade”. This project will provide upgraded walking access to the school with wider paths and upgraded lighting.  The first part of this project will  commence in the September holidays.

Home Economics upgrade.  Plans are in place to provide an upgrade to the kitchens in our home economics faculty.  The commencement of this project is reliant on funding being approved but could commence at the end of this year.

Recent Projects

Outdoor Learning Area

The area outside M Block on both the eastern and western sides of the building have recently been upgraded to provide a functional outdoor learning area.  The visual and useful nature of this area has been a huge improvement for students learning and socialising.

Carpark and SEP Drop-off

Construction on our new road, carpark and covered drop-off area was completed early in Term 1 this year.  The carpark and covered drop-off area have meant staff and students are able to access the school and SEP in a much safer environment than was previously possible.

Other Major Projects

Performing Arts Complex (PAC)

Completed in Semester 2, 2014, the Performing Arts Centre hosts the curriculum areas of dance, drama, music and multimedia with the additional provision of appropriate learning spaces for English and SOSE. An arts excellence program also provides unique arts learning opportunities for students to develop and enhance creative and artistic production and performance skills and provide opportunities for students to excel in one or more of the arts. The facility also hosts student assemblies, awards presentations and similar school events.

This facility is a professional theatre space to support excellence in curriculum programs across the school and the school’s vision of ‘building a world class learning organisation’ and to improve student’s performance outcomes and facilitate partnerships with a range of community stakeholders and universities.
