SEQ School Futsal Titles Girls' Results: Finals

A great effort from our girls at Friday's knock-out finals. Unfortunately the Under 16's were beaten by St Andrews College in a close game. This really was a great achievement by the girls as most of the team was made up of Year 8's, 9's and 10's. Well done to Nicole, Annika, Kiana, Lea, Sophia, Bella and Sophie.

Our Open Girls capped off a brilliant day's play by defeating Murrumba Downs SC in the grand final. The team was undefeated, scoring 20 goals and conceding only 2. Good luck at State Championships in Term 3.

A great effort from our futsal girls at the SEQ Championships Round one last Friday. Good luck at the knockout finals on 16 March.
It is always great to hear of past graduates of our program achieving at the highest level. Tahlia and Rose competed for Athletico Brisbane in Sunday's Womens's National Futsal League semi-final against Ballarat.
Fantastic effort girls.
Players' Player of the Year Awards 2017

Today we presented our Players' Player of the Year Awards. These awards are presented to the students, chosen by their class peers, that have shown high levels of performance and excellent attitude in both games and practical lessons.

Congratulations go to Corey (Senior FEP), Jackson (Year 10), Ethan (Year 9), Will (Year 8) and Sushaal (Year 7). These boys are worthy recipients and fantastic role models for all our students.  Well done.

Australasian Schools Championships

What a great three days of futsal, where our 12, 13 and 14 boys' teams performed exceptionally well at The 'Australasians'.

The 12's finished 3rd in their group, losing the semi-final to eventual winners, Assisi College. After finishing 2nd in their group, the 13's lost out to St. Andrews College in the semi-final. The 14's took out the top spot in their pool after finishing undefeated throughout the pool games. Unfortunately the boys went down to, perennial rivals, Corinda SHS in the grand final.

It was fantastic to see our students perform with such ability, resilience and sportsmanship. They really are a credit to the Football Program and school.
A massive thank you to all parents who came along to lend their support; this was greatly appreciated by teachers and players.
Senior National Schools Futsal Champion of Champions
Well done to our senior boys' team that competed at The National Championships over the weekend.
This was such a high standard tournament with some fantastic futsal played by all teams.
After a shaky start, the boys finished 5th overall.
We would like to thank Aaron, Jack, HJ, Ryan, Kealan, Jake, Brad and Lincoln for their dedication and commitment at this tournament. Unfortunately, Iqbal was unable to play, due to an injury sustained last week; however it was great to see him on Saturday supporting the team.
This was the boys' last game together as an AC team and we wish them all the best in the future.
