Legacy Youth Anzac Visit

As part of the ANZAC Day celebrations one of our Defence Students, Jessica, participated in a visit to Canberra to participate in a range of activities.  Below is an overview of the highlights of her visit:

The Australian War Memorial Legacy Youth ANZAC visit is a camp based in Canberra. We stayed at the Australian Institute of Sport and participated in many activities from the moment we arrived in Canberra. Some of my favourite activities were the NRL match between the Canberra Raiders and Manley Sea Eagles. We were lucky enough to walk out on to the field in between the teams. Touring New Parliament House with Seven News Journalist Mark Riley was another highlight as was Skyzone, Questacon, visiting AWM galleries, attending the dawn service and the official AWM Anzac Day service plus a Segway tour around Lake Burley Griffin. It was overall an amazing experience and I am glad I could attend this camp.
