In acknowledgement of the recent NAIDOC celebrations, we ensured that all of the visiting students were given some awareness of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (ATSI) culture and worked with our students for research aspects of culture and tradition.

For the third consecutive year, we hosted two full class groups from Tachikawa High for the two day visit. The seventy-five visiting students were organised into fifteen groups of five students and interacted across a wide range of classes of various year levels and subjects.

Once again we were lucky enough to host students from Hidaka City in Saitama Japan.  Nine students from Hidaka City’s six different junior high schools, were accompanied by Principal Oguma, English teacher Ms Shigematsu and Tour Guide Ms Shimizu.

As we approach almost a decade of visits from Yokoze Machi High School, this year’s visit by fourteen students was again very enjoyable.

Thank the wonderful families who volunteered to welcome one of these young people into their family.
